TIER 1 - UK Visas for highly skilled migrants
Tier 1 visas allow entrepreneurs, graduate students, highly skilled workers and business investors to work for any employer or be self-employed in any capacity in the UK. There is no need for an employer to sponsor a Tier 1 visa.- Highly Skilled Migrants Visa – for highly educated and skilled persons which replaces the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP)
- Post Study Work Visa – this replaces the International Graduate Scheme. This allows foreign graduates of higher education institutes within the United Kingdom to remain in the country for two years after graduation.
- Entrepeneurs Visa – for individuals looking to set up or take over a business
- Investors Visa – for wealthy individuals who will invest large sums of money
TIER 2 - UK Visas for skilled migrants
Tier 2 visas replace the Work Permit scheme. You need an offer of employment (certificate of sponsorship) from a UK employer before you can apply for this visa.- Skilled worker visas. This replaces the Work Permit entry route to the UK.
TIER 3 - UK Visas for low skilled migrants
Tier 3 visas are for low skilled workers on a temporary basis. Please note that this tier is currently suspended.- Low skilled migrants visas of the Points Based UK visa service caters for people entering the UK to perform temporary low skilled work. The new Tier 3 category replaces the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme (SAWS) and the Sectors Based Scheme (SBS).
TIER 4 - UK Student visas
Tier 4 visas replace the student visa category and allow individuals to study in the UK. If students are successful at a suitable level in theur studies, they have the potential to apply for a Tier 1 visa.- Student Visas
– applications relating to all aspects of studying in the UK
Other Visas
Tier 5 visas allow for up to 2 years working in the UK for those aged between 18-30 from qualifying countries.- Tourist Visa - covers a visit to the UK for up to 6 months, inlcuding business trips and medical treatment
- Ancestry Visa - for Commonwealth citizens who have a grandparent born in the UK
- EEA Visa - for nationals of the EEA or Switzerland who can support themselves in the UK
Dependants
PK Immigration Lawyers are experts in bringing family members and dependants to join you in the UK.- Marriage / Spouse Visa - must be over 21 and able to support yourself.
- Fiancé Visa - must be over 21 and prove that you intend to marry within 6 months.
- Family Visa - for all other visas to bring your family to the UK.
- De Facto Visa - for unmarried partners with settled status
or Indefinite Leave to Remain who want to bring their partner to the UK.
British Citizenship
We can assist you through every stage of your British Citizenship Application- Indefinite Leave to Remain - commonly known as UK residency. You need a minimum of 5 years continious residence in the UK on a visa that leads to settlement. There will be no time limit or conditions on your stay
- British Citizenship - must be aged 18 or over, lived in the UK for at least 5 years and not spent more than 450 days outside the UK in the past 5 years and no more than 90 days outside in the past 12 months.
- Naturalisation - this occurs when you become a British citizen and receive your British passport.
- Settlement - usually happens when you have been resident in the UK for more than 4 years on the same visa class (excluding student visas and marriage and de facto visas).
Immigration Appeals
If your application to enter or remain in the UK is refused then you may have a right of appeal against this decision to the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal. This is a court system dedicated to immigration and asylum matters where you case will be heard by an immigration judge.This is your opportunity to get the Home Office or Entry Clearance Officer's negative decision changed and you will have the opportunity to put your own view forward. It is advisable to seek legal representation to make sure that your voice is heard and documents presented to enable a judge to allow your appeal.
